Pilates is a method of specific exercises designed by Joseph Pilates himself (1880-1968). The practice is intended to balance out the body’s biomechanics with flexibility and strength. His method focuses on conscious breath, mental concentration, and precision of controlled movements. Much of the repertoire focuses on core strength, but the emphasis is utilizing the whole body as efficiently as possible.

The results are improved posture, flexibility, and strength. A physical awareness is created allowing a strong body mind connection to develop, ultimately enhancing overall health. Simply Pilates makes smart bodies and strong minds.

Because we believe it is important to address all clients as individuals we strongly suggest working one on one with an instructor for a series of private sessions. First sessions include an assessment of the client’s posture, alignment, and any injuries or other imbalances in the body that may direct our instruction.
